I hope you all are enjoying a wonderful vacation and this message finds you safe and healthy.  I am sending this message out early, since some of you are already thinking about our first rehearsal on January 5th and wondering how we will handle the Covid Restriction set by the State. The management team has been keeping active during our time off wondering the same thing. So here is what we came up with:

PLAN
  • Due to the current guidelines issued by the state, mask requirements have changed for our first rehearsal of the new year, we will require all members and guests to wear KN95 masks during the whole rehearsal, with no exceptions. KN95 masks will be available for those members who do not have any. (Please consider purchasing your own supply of KN95 masks to help defray costs).
  • We have delayed the January 5th Party, until we can all get together.
  • We have delayed coaching with Frenzy until travel is easier and safer for our coaches and we can sing without masks
  • We will continue to reevaluate and review guidelines monthly if not weekly and keep you informed
Please take care of yourselves and your family. Do what feels right to you. We had thought by now we would all be able to meet again as we had in the past and we know that day will come, but for now we must be patient.

Your Task: Please let us know your rehearsal availability for January 5th - Rehearsal - Welcome Back - Happy New Year - 2022!  Please be sure to update your attendance availability from this day forward so that Dede can come up with the best rehearsal itinerary.

Thank you for your understanding. Your management team will continue to stay up to date on the state's Covid mandates.

CDPH-Guidance For the Use of Masks with background info as of Dec 13th

The COVID-19 vaccines remain effective in preventing serious disease, hospitalization, and death from the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Unvaccinated persons are more likely to get infected and spread the virus which is transmitted through the air and concentrates indoors. To ensure that we collectively protect the health and well-being of all Californians; keep schools open for in-person instruction; and allow California's economy to remain open and thrive, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is requiring masks to be worn in all indoor public settings, irrespective of vaccine status, for the next four weeks (December 15, 2021 through January 15, 2022).

This new measure brings an added layer of mitigation as the Omicron variant, a Variant of Concern as labeled by the World Health Organization, is detected across California, the United States, and the world and is likely to spread more easily than the original SARS-CoV-2 virus and the Delta variant. Additionally, this new measure brings additional protection to individuals, families and communities during the holidays when more travel occurs, and time is spent indoors.
