Pearl Harbor Tour Recap question answers
4/1/2021
I spoke with Chris Meeker this afternoon and got many of our questions answered.
Airline transportation
- Does everyone need to leave from Sacramento or can HP arrange transportation from other cities?
- When doing pre- or post-tour arrangements, is flying just one way with the group available?
- If you are making your own flight arrangements, will transfers from the airport to the hotel be available?
- Is it more cost-effective to book air travel through HP or independently?
Hotels
- When will we know where we are staying?
- Will there be a room available for us to use for warming up, practicing?
- For participants who come early or extend, will the hotel rate remain the same as for the tour?
Itinerary
- When will we know our final tour itinerary?
- When will we know our performance schedule of times?
3. We are signed up for the 4 night/5 day package (Dec. 5th – Dec. 9th).
Finances
- All members who had money being held in escrow from last year should have received an email from Maxine regarding their balance.
- Any questions regarding the financial responsibility of participants should be addressed to Maxine at svctour@sacramentovalleychorus.com.
Vaccinations
- As the situation evolves, we will only be able to address this issue closer to our tour. The individual airlines have their own policies and we will have to adhere to those at the time of travel. The same goes for whatever guidelines are in place in Hawaii in December. Note of interest: For my friend who flew to Hawaii yesterday, the airline required them to have a valid COVID test within 72 hours prior to flying. They had to go to the airport to do the test, which she said was quite easy and they had the results back the next day. They were taking along their vaccination cards but I don’t know if the airline required them or they just felt it was a good idea.
