February began with some initial choreo coaching with Region 12's very own Julie Baxter, who is always such a pleasure to learn from and work with. Next we had a weekend retreat with international faculty's visual performance coach Judy Pozsgay. She fine-tuned our moves and helped guide the chorus toward a more unified presentation of sound and movement. We also got some unexpected practice in focus since the group on the other side of our ballroom wall had a live band playing for part of the afternoon. It was a "frenzy of sound"! 
Afterwards we had a tasty dinner, a bunch of wonderful member performances, and then some entertaining games, including a photo booth.
Sweet Adeline members are so fortunate to be part of a community that values continuous learning and growth, as well as camaraderie, and SVC looks forward to the many musical adventures that lie ahead. Here's to a harmonious journey together!
