Dear Ladies,

We hope all of you have stayed well, are still safely sheltering at home and taking care.

We have been in contact with Mr. Meeker regarding the cancellation of our trip to Pearl Harbor scheduled for December of this year, as per your wishes.  While he was quite disappointed, he could understand our concerns and the uncertainty of the current situation.  We were pleased that he offered us a postponement and the opportunity to attend the same event in 2021 instead.  It would, of course, be held around the December 7th date.  (The new price for that date would have to be calculated but would probably be slightly higher by no more than $100 - $200.  The package for 2021 will be similar to the current package regarding the number of days and activities.  Obviously, just the dates will change.) Since most of us voted to postpone rather than cancel altogether, the management team will discuss accepting the new 2021 invitation.

According to our contract, canceling our reservations after March 15, 2020, resulted in a $200 cancellation fee for each reservation.  Since canceling our trip, we each have the following options:

  1. Leave the money you have already paid in the account to be transferred to 2021.
  2. Receive reimbursement of the money you have in the account minus the $200 cancellation fee for each reservation in your party.  This money is not refundable but if we accept going in 2021, this $200 will then be applied to the first payment.

We need to know as soon as possible how to proceed with processing reimbursements.  Please send us written notification by May 15th as to your wishes regarding your account.

For those of you who had not signed up to attend this year, please know that we would love to include you for the 2021 event.  Please let us know if you’d be interested in joining us in 2021!  (We assume that deposits will be not due until the beginning of 2021.)

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact either Stefanie or Maxine.

Thanks for your patience and understanding,

Stefanie (and Maxine)
