Hello, everyone, from Sacramento Valley Chorus. We just had an amazing coaching session with Caitlin Castelino! It began on Friday evening, Nov. 14 for three hours and continued the next day from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. What a talent she is. She took our ballad and turned it into something quite amazing. We are so lucky to have her here in our region. I could tell you all kinds of information about her, but it would take pages and pages to do so, and I would probably still leave out some things.
In a little more than a week, Thanksgiving will be here, which means lots of family celebrations and giving thanks for all we have. Christmas won't be far behind, with family gatherings, Christmas lights and decorations, performances, lots of caroling, and the sharing of food. SVC will be singing at the Capitol Rotunda on December 16 at 11;00 am, so if you are in the area, this event is open to the public. We usually have a couple of elves who deliver candy to all the children in the audience (and sometimes parents as well). After singing, it is our tradition to share lunch together and travel around singing at various senior facilities. The residents are always so excited to see and hear us. We are always richly rewarded with smiles, hugs, and handshakes.
On December 21, we will be delivering singing Christmas grams via a live phone call or video message. Anyone can order these and send to anyone in the United States. It's an easy way to check people's names off your shopping list. Call soon at 916-761-2998.
