Hello everyone. Just a brief notice that the dates for coaching with Julie Baxter, current member of Diablo Vista Chorus, have changed. Coaching with the front row has been canceled for Sept. 8 and changed to Sept. 22 from 10 am to 2 pm. The location has not been determined but it will be announced as soon as possible. Coaching with the full chorus has changed from Sept. 11th and 18th to Sept. 25th during regular rehearsal times. We are now rehearsing at the Arden Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday nights from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. If you come early at 6 pm, we will be singing tags.
This Saturday, we participated in the Race For the Arts, one of our major fundraising events. This organization raises funds and awareness for California nonprofit visual, performing, cultural, literary, and culinary arts organizations, and school programs. We receive 100% of pledges designated to us on the Pledge Form. We also hosted a booth to provide education about our art form and recruitment of potential singers. There was a Free Arts Festival with entertainment throughout the 5K Run/Walk race and all day on the Amphitheatre Stage. It was a fun day!
