This weekend, we were coached by Judy Pozsgay on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23. Shirley Kout's Memorial Service was at the Veterans Memorial Center, 203 E. 14th in Davis. It began at 4:00 pm, when there was a light "tea-like" (including scones!) gathering to share memories with friends and family. The actual program began at 5:30, with lots of music and family/friend remembrances.
We are all working on Christmas music in preparation for various performances. On December 16, we will be singing at the California State Capitol Rotunda, followed by singing at a number of local senior facilities. We will also be singing at the Arden Church of the Nazarene (our rehearsal site) on December 22 during their church service. A number of other performances are being arranged so it should prove to be a very busy holiday season.
