The members of this quartet reside in the communities of Roseville, Santa Rosa and Stockton, California. Two are members of the Sacramento Valley Chorus, one is a member of the Sounds of Sonoma Chorus and one is a Chapter At Large member!

 

Sandy Cope - Tenor
Sandy began her Sweet Adeline career 1982 as a tenor in the Sacramento Valley Chorus. For a few years she was a dual member with Pacific Empire Chorus and has competed at International with both SVC and PEC and as a Wild Card quartet. Sandy is active in Sacramento Valley Chorus in both musical and administrative roles. She has served as the Chair of the Regional Convention in the past as well. Quarteting has always been part of Sandy ’s Sweet Adeline’s experience in the following quartets: Fourgone Conclusion, In The Mood, Rhythm & Rhapsody, Capital City Express, Highlight, Blaze, Encore and d’Vine (2009 Wild Card). Her other life outside of Sweet Adelines is shared with her husband George of 37 years. They met in the Bay Area in high school and after Sandy earned a BS degree in Biology from University of San Francisco they were married in 1975. They currently live in Roseville where they own a small business. She has 2 wonderful daughters, Kelly 26 and Chrissy 21, both graduated from college. Sandy works at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento , managing the Neurodiagnostics Department and Epilepsy Program. Sandy is delighted to be singing with this fabulous group of talented women in FlipSide who are wonderful individuals as well.

 
Kathy Pecsar – Lead
Kathy joined Sweet Adelines in 1994 and has been addicted to barbershop ever since! Choruses that Kathy has belonged to include San Francisco Chorus, Pacific Empire and now Song of Sonoma Chorus. Quartets include En Fuego (as a baritone), Major League, Staccato, Blush, Confetti and now FlipSide. Kathy has competed several times on the International stage as a front row chorus member, and cherishes her experience on the International stage in a quartet as the lead of Confetti. She grew up in Boulder, Colorado and received a Bachelor’s in Music from Colorado State. Kathy now lives in Santa Rosa with her dream husband, Jeff, daughter, Samantha, two basset hounds and one cat who thinks he is a basset hound. She is lucky to work at a wonderful school as a P.E. Teacher and reading specialist. She is so thankful to be a part of FlipSide, with women she has admired for a long time!
 
 
Margaret Leggett – Baritone
Margaret joined Sweet Adelines in 1981 as a senior in high school. She sang lead for the first 8 years in the organization before switching to baritone, which is her true passion. She sang with many choruses in Region 12, including: Delta, Sacramento Valley , Mission Valley , and Pacific Empire. Currently, she is a charter member and assistant director of a prospective chorus in Stockton, Delta Harmony Xpress Chorus. She has sung in numerous quartets over the years, most notably: Capital City Express, Rhythm ‘n Rhapsody, Pacific Breeze, Highlight, Spritz, Kinetix, and Ignite. She has competed at International competition several times with both choruses and quartets. She lives in Stockton and works for Cumulus Media, which operates a series of radio stations in the Stockton & Modesto area. In 2006, she earned her BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix . She is very excited to be singing with FlipSide and looking forward to a wonderful future with a new configuration of talented and dear friends.
 
 
Merriann Cree – Bass
Merriann began her Sweet Adeline career 1963 as a baritone in the Delta Chorus. She has been singing bass for many years and currently sings with the Sacramento Valley Chorus. For a few years she was a dual member with Pacific Empire Chorus. She competed at International with both SVC and PEC and quartets. Merriann has always been active in chorus in the musical area including bass section leader and in the chorus administration. In the previous management style of Region 12 – Board of Directors, she served for many years and was Secretary, Vice Regent and Regent. She is currently on the regional faculty and coaching staff. Merriann has almost always been in a quartet – and some with interesting names: Ship Shapes (her first quartet), Pretenders, Sunshine Unlimited, Musical Marmalade, First Impression, Capital City Express (1993 regional champions), Highlight, Spritz, Confetti (2007 regional champions) and Ignite. She and Bill, her caring and understanding husband of 52 years, live in Stockton along with her special doggy – Tina the Weiner! Merriann has two beautiful married daughters, Diane and Karen, however, the special place in her heart is reserved for her awesome grandson, Tyler. Family means a lot to Merriann and now she can add FlipSide to the mix. What a treat to sing again with some of her best friends.
