Gloria Dysinger

Gloria was originally from Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. She was divorced and alone. She had a brother in Sacramento and a daughter who was a movie producer in LA.  When she visited her brother, they all talked her into moving out to California. When driving around, she fell in love with Davis and decided to buy a house there.

 

Before Gloria left Pennsylvania she joined Sweet Adeline International. She was a member of the Valley Forge Chorus. When she moved to Davis, she contacted the Cycle City Chorus because she wanted to sing. After visiting them, she decided it wasn't the chorus she was looking for and asked a member of the chorus about other choruses in the area. She was given the phone number of a member of Sacramento Valley Chorus that also lived in Davis. As it turned out, they lived near each other, became friends, and commuted to Sacramento for SVC rehearsals and actiities. She competed with SVC several times. She loved the chorus and made several friends there. Gloria had a lovely voice and sang Lead with the chorus.

 

For the last few years that Gloria was a member, her health interfered with her ability to be an active member, but she would come when she could, with her oxygen tank in tow. Eventually, she moved to LA to be with her daughter. She loved to sing and is probably singing in that Heavenly Sweet Adeline Chorus with all those who went before and after her.
